Sacred Ceremony in Nature

This adventure begins while you’re scraping dirt from rocks one day.

You’ve come across a handful of large, curved, and perfectly placed rocks to use as a foundation for a rock pool. You pause to share your intention with the rocks and ask for their permission to make a healing pool with them. Taking your time with this process has strengthened your reverence for the land where you live. The rocks speak kindly to you, the birds come to see what you’re working on, and friends come to use your nourishing soil for their projects on the land.

When the rocks are clean and the pool looks almost ready, you get busy finding clay where it lies in excess, soaking it in water, then draining it, pounding it, and spreading it between the rocks, filling each crevice with the thick medium that slips between your fingers and playfully drips all over you.

You leave the clay to dry in the sun, then on the next heavy rain, you check to see if it holds clear water. As you come to the pool, you find three of your dear friends soaking up the rock pool’s medicinal rainwater. As you step in, your body feels so sublimely relaxed.

After a joyful while of soaking in the restorative healing, you hear the call of the Nature Spirits around the rock pool, asking you to create a ceremony for this place. You take a moment to get centered, then you use the water to bless yourself, your friends, and all who use this space for pleasure and healing.

You call on the nearby spirits of animals, trees, and wildflowers for protection for all who come to this water. You vow to take care of this land so long as you are here. You promise to listen to the spirits and pass on your sacred processes to all who live here.

You value the curative essence of nature, and nature values your reverence in return.
